About NewsVideo

Curated News Videos Without the Noise.

Brief About

NewsVideo is a simple regional video feed for timely YouTube-based news and commentary links. The service organizes selected public YouTube videos by region so visitors can quickly browse what is current without creating an account.

Videos are added by an authorized administrator and are intended to remain visible for a short news window, generally 72 hours. NewsVideo stores basic metadata such as title, description, YouTube video ID, region, and posting time so the public feed can load quickly.

NewsVideo does not host the videos. Playback is provided through YouTube embeds, and the original creators and YouTube remain responsible for the hosted video content and playback experience.

Install NewsVideo

NewsVideo is designed as a mobile PWA. Android browsers can show an Install button when the browser confirms the app is installable. On iOS, open NewsVideo in Safari, tap Share, then choose Add to Home Screen.

Self-Learning Feed

Signing in is optional. If you sign in and enable Personalized feed, NewsVideo learns from your selected regions, saved videos, watched stories, shares, and tapped tags. The For You option appears before Global and uses those signals only when there is enough activity to make useful recommendations.

When For You is greyed out with a pulsing green dot, learning mode is active but the feed is still building enough signal. Keep browsing normally; regional feeds remain unchanged and Global always stays Global.

User Controls

The profile drawer lets signed-in users turn personalization on or off, update their display name, view Favorites, sign out, or delete the account. Turning personalization off hides For You and stops learning. Favorites remain private to the signed-in account.
